State of CA & City of Los Angeles Benchmarks are Due!

Energy Star 2018ENERGY STAR 2018

Attention California building owners and operators! If your building is over 50,000 square feet you are required to comply with California's Assembly Bill 802. This mandatory benchmarking bill requires subject buildings to submit their energy usage data to the California Energy Commission by June 1, 2018.

In addition to AB 802, City of Los Angeles building owners and operators with buildings over 50,000 square feet are also required to comply with the Los Angeles Existing Building Energy and Water Efficiency "EBEWE" regulation. This mandatory benchmarking bill requires subject buildings to submit their energy and water usage data to the LA Department of Building & Safety "LADBS" by June 1, 2018

AB 802 and EBEWE are annual benchmarks that require compliance each year in order for the State and City of LA to consistently monitor energy and water efficiency trends. Starting next year buildings over 20,000 square feet will be required to comply.

Contact MEP ASAP to see how you can comply with your benchmarks!
